This dish tastes awesome, but you lot exercise have to brand some changes. Start of all, I cooked the rice in the rice cooker start and I decreased the amount of ground beef, and the cans of tomato soup. Lastly, I used regular cheddar instead of velveeta.

This recipe is merely not right. Where do I commencement--Outset of all, information technology calls for a 1 qt blistering dish. This is impossible considering it calls for 3 cans of soup which is almost a quart in itself. I made the recipe tonight and didn't detect it anything special. At that place is way too much chili powder. Rice cannot be properly cooked using ane cup water to 1 loving cup rice. There should be 2 cups of water. I feel I wasted nutrient this evening.

We really enjoyed this with the personal adjustments. Information technology's a great thought, which is why I gave it a shot. I take a rice cooker, so I cooked 2 c of rice. While the rice was cooking I sauted reddish onion (one-half salted)and garlic (three cloves), then the lb of beefiness. I seasoned the beefiness with cajun & montreal steak seasoning. Instead of tom.soup I used 6oz Ragu and 5T of restaurant stlye salsa and middle-balled the chili powder. In place of the Velveta I used real colby/jack, american, and provolone. And then, yep and and so I topped it off with French's french fried onions.

This does have a pretty prissy taste to information technology. I fabricated it for my married man and myself one Sun night when we wanted something quick and tasty. We used ground turkey instead of beef and liked the style that turned out- however, I beloved cheese and I think next time I might ad twice as much. But wasn't quite plenty for me. Also, didn't fit in a 1 Qt casserole- I had to employ my 2 Qt.
09/21/2010
Had to adjust some of the measurements. Used Abrupt chedder cheese and added garlic powder. It was piece of cake and my whole family unit LOVED it. Had leftovers last night and my husband calls from work today and says"I don't intendance what you girls eat for dinner this night, just the residual og the beef and rice is mine." :-)
03/13/2011
I adapted this a lilliputian differently by substituting a loving cup of salsa for i can of tomato sauce, and calculation peppers and onions to the hamburger while cooking. Topped with taco cheese blend and crushed tortilla chips. My very picky 5 year old loved it, so it was a success!
03/29/2009
yum! i thought this came out really tasty! my fellow was afraid of information technology, just he concluded upwardly liking it too. i used basis turkey instead of beef. and likewise added some fried onions on top earlier i put it in the oven. i like the elementary ingredients cause i had all of them on manus. :D
01/26/2010
this was a practiced base merely I made some changes, added a diced medium onion, used 2 lbs hamburger, 4 cups cooked rice, and shredded cheese. I added some brown carbohydrate to the tomato and beefiness mixture and not as much chili as called for. Used iii cans of tomato soup. Kids liked it, will def brand again, quick and easy!
04/29/2010
This was very proficient. I added more rice and simply two cans of soup. I besides added onions and garlic and used chedder instead of velveeta. We will definitely brand this once more.
02/17/2011
This recipe is an excellent base, which is what I generally look for in a recipe anyway. I doubled the rice, which should always be cooked in a 2:1 water rice ratio. So 4 cups of h2o to 2 cups of white basmati rice. And then I sauteed some diced onions and minced garlic, added the basis beef and seasoned the whole thing. This is very of import. Even when a recipe doesn't ask tell you to season a meat ingredient Exercise Information technology ANYWAY. Seriously, y'all will be rewarded with a very flavorful results. The last changes I made were to use two cans of soup and two tbs of the chili pulverisation. Everything else was cooked according to the recipe. Simple and succulent. Next time I'll add some ruby beans to the meat mixture and some sliced jalapeno peppers on top.
01/19/2012
This was very tasty, but merely because of recommended modifications. Ignore the 1:1 rice water unless you are using minuet rice. Seasoned the meat with 1/two onion, 1/2 red bong pepper, 2 garlics and 2 celery. I added viii oz of cream cheese and a pocket-size jar of con caso into the meat/rice/soup mix (layers did not seem applied). Added i can tomato bisque soup, i can stewed tomatoes, and a few diced jalapenos. Topped with just a chip of balmy cheddar. Everyone in the family loved it!
04/05/2009
This was terrible! My family and I were trying out new recipes this month, and I saw that this had good ratings. Then it sounded good... Its not! I my have put too much cheese on it or something, i dont know. Information technology just was really flossy and cheesy to the bespeak that you couldnt taste annihilation else. Velveeta is not my idea of a good snack to only gustation the velveeta! Unless you lot want a VERY loftier calorie meal with nothing merely cheese...
07/23/2012
I made this but substituted Classico Fire Roasted Tomato and Garlic pasta sauce for lycopersicon esculentum soup...cooked the rice according to the packaging, used sharp cheddar cheese instead of velveeta and omitted the chili powder...spiced up the beef with garlic while browning it too. Dainty scritch repast for the calendar week every bit I am alone for three more months.
12/xiii/2010
This was awesome! I fabricated substitutions based on what I had. I used a 24 oz jar of spaghetti sauce, layered as stated but used 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese and topped with French's crucnhy onions. I put information technology in a 2 quart blistering dish likewise. So quick and easy, definately using this again!
02/20/2012
i gave this five stars considering it was a skilful idea. I cutting back on the chilie pulverisation because nosotros don't like information technology that spicey. I used my head and cooked the rice in my rice cooker using the measurements for my rice cooker. For those people who didn't like this because it was besides spicey, you have to season to gustatory modality. As the beef is cooking add a bit of spice, allow information technology cook some, gustatory modality it, if its good, then fine if not add together a bit more. Over all information technology was skillful inexpensive thought. I fabricated changes to the way we eat, just I did savor the recipe.
09/28/2009
I used real shreded cheddar cheese and 2 cups of rice - yes definitely need a 2 qt dish. Plus, I sauteed meat with onions and garlic for added flavour and used ground turkey. I loved it! Information technology turned out really well.
01/18/2011
Thumbs up....is what I got from my daughter and that is a good affair. :) I did some minor adjustments. I cutting downwardly on the chili powder and added onion powder, garlic powder, and beef seasoning. I also used shredded cheddar cheese vs the slices. I will definitely make it again. 4 stars due to adjustments necessary.
11/10/2009
Actually enjoyed this dish. The nice surprise was that leftovers in a tortilla made a not bad burrito!
03/30/2013
I used this recipe, every bit suggested by AR-Seattle, and changed out the ground beef for Johnsonville spicey Italian sausage to complete one of my AR Ambassador'due south monthly tasks. Since I used Italian sausage, I changed out the chili powder to one tbsp ground basil and the Velveeta cheese slices to 8 ozs. grated mozzarella. Based on the other reviews, I used merely two cans of Campbell'southward lycopersicon esculentum soup and 1/ii cup water. While I was very skeptical of this recipe, it really was tasty. Information technology kind of "grew" on me equally I ate. My husband said that he wouldn't mind having it once more. We'll run across. Modify out the spicey to balmy Italian sausage and this would be a good child-friendly meal.
06/xiv/2011
It wasn't very good, pitiful I tried it.
06/13/2011
This was a satisfying recipe. To delight my family unit of 6 is quite a feat, but this simple recipe fit the bill. I made the following changes: First, I had to double the rice and beef, but it fits well in a deep 13x9 pan. As well, I but used 2 cans of tomato soup and added ane tin of Rotel Tomatoes, Mexican flavored with cilantro and lime. I omitted the chili powder. Likewise, instead of Velveeta, I used sharp cheddar. Very easy to make. My husband hates casseroles or annihilation that is a "one dish" meal, simply he actually complimented this one! And then, beingness drastic and using what I had on hand worked into a pleasing meal for my family unit. Thanks!
04/20/2012
Who doesn't like cheese, rice and footing beef?! With a few adjustments as recommended past other reviewers..This dish was scrumptious!! I sautéed minced garlic and onion before adding the ground beef.I made my rice in the slow cooker. I used only i can of Tomato Soup(I think next fourth dimension I volition utilise ii cans next fourth dimension) and I used Abrupt Cheddar Cheese..Lots of cheese! I also seasoned it with a little garlic salt and pepper! Easy peasey dish!
08/31/2011
This is pretty adept. I accept a similiar recipe that uses elbow macaroni instead of rice, which I prefer. I used only ii cans of soup and cheddar cheese. I think I'll stick with the macaroni version - but this is expert, fast & easy if y'all like rice. Otherwise, effort it with the macaroni.
eleven/10/2011
Very Easy and Skillful Used sliced cheddar and layered rice in 13by9 layer of cheese, meat mix and another layer of cheese and only 1 tsp of chilli powder.
06/13/2010
This has a slight Sloppy Joe taste to it. Nosotros enjoy this dish, and it is very piece of cake to make.
11/01/2009
I have made this twice. The first time we did not like information technology. I made it the second time and used but 2 cans of soup 2 tablespoons Chilli pulverization. And used Chedder Cheese. it tastes way better the one qrt pan is a little small merely it works. over all its a good dish. its easy to twist to your ain liking only its a good basic start to some very skillful meal ideas thanks for posting information technology.
09/10/2011
Nosotros enjoyed this recipe. I used brown rice, added sauteed onions and greenish peppers to the ground beefiness, and added grated cheddar cheese to the top. Next time I will omit Velveeta, and just employ grated cheddar instead. I'd also add some frozen corn every bit well, merely didn't take whatsoever on hand. Good base recipe. thanks!
05/24/2012
It was cleanout the fridge day and low and behold, I had leftover brown rice, ground bef, and lycopersicon esculentum soup to use up. Halved recipe (except rice - ended upwardly using about 3 cups cooked) - I was fully prepared with standby dinner as I only didn't retrieve this was going to work. But it was GREAT! Used cheddar cheese instead of processed, one can of soup, and 1T of chili pulverisation. I truly enjoyed. Tasted a scrap similar a tamale pie dish. UPDATE: deleting every bit John 'fessed he didn't similar.
02/25/2012
I used chocolate-brown minute rice instead of white rice, and I double the ingredients. I likewise change the cheese from the velveeta to shredded cheddar cheese and used about 5cups. We USED ONIONS AND SOUR Foam for toppings.
02/20/2013
I loved this considering I had every ingredient already and it was super quick with very little dishes. This isn't what I'll be making the in-laws for Sunday nighttime dinner, but this was a delicious week night quick dinner. I fabricated the adjustments in the other reviews; ii cans of tomato soup, half the chili powder, provolone cheese, and more than rice. I also browned the hamburger with some garlic salt and other seasonings.
01/26/2010
This is a very good base recipe that allows for endless variations . I made a variant of this for this night's supper. I cut the soup to one can, sauteed onions and celery with the beef, then added ane/4 cup of phillie cheese. I left out the chili pulverisation plus I replaced the velveeta with fresh grated mozza, cheddar and asiago cheeses and sprinkled the top with garlic common salt and parsley before baking. My married man loved it and I will be making this one over again. Cheers CAMIMCC for a cracking recipe.
04/08/2012
Super yummy! Fifty-fifty the kids ate it:)I made brown rice to the directions on the bag, also only 2 cans of tomato soup, and shredded cheddar cheese!
10/17/2010
Skillful with customization! Smashing way to "hibernate" brown rice and ground turkey for picky eaters. I used 2 eddy in bag brown rice, 1.5 lb gr. beefiness, ii tin can cream of tomato soup, ane/3 c. foam cheese (mixed in soup/meat mixture), a little minced garlic, one/4 c. castilian onion, some cumin and some red pepper powder (didn't have the chili powder), and Velveeta clamper sliced thinly. Received a thumbs up from all in the family from historic period 12 through 47!
08/09/2011
I added jalapeno'southward, diced tomatoes, and used whatsoever cheese I had in the fridge..... This really turned out actually good. I was very sceptical of it, but it was the simply recipe I could find that I had all the ingredients for at the fourth dimension. When I was on step #iii I tasted it and was not impressed.... but one time it was all together and came out of the oven it was really good.
10/nineteen/2011
this was a good recipe to beginning with, only similar a lot of other people i felt it needed adjustments. I sauteed green pepper and onions which i cooked with the meat with and simply a small corporeality of chili powder. i as well used only two cans of love apple sauce and added one can of drained rotel. I mixed nigh one-half the velveeta with shredded cheddar. it turned out yummy merely at that place was still too much liquid even with the reduction of soup. I advise either calculation more rice or using a lot less soup in the meat. information technology even so got good reviews in my house though!!
11/14/2011
a little boring
04/10/2013
Came out skilful as a centre of the week repast. Added onion & garlic to hamburger plus salt & pepper. Next time I'll utilize tomato sauce instead of love apple soup. Too sweetness. Also used cheddar cheese & minute rice. 4 cups of rice would have worked better. Didn't accept enough for concluding layer.
01/11/2010
I didnt follow the recipe exactly then I am not sure how this would really taste. I used some rice I had from Sabbatum that likewise had black beans in it, and everything tastes adept though. I didnt have chili pulverisation either so I have no clue what this really tastes similar, oh and I likewise used and Italian blend of shredded cheese and not velveeta. I will re-rate when I re-make with correct indg's. But information technology was good and we did similar it and I will attempt information technology once more the proper way!
12/06/2009
This was okay. A little bland. I recall side by side time I volition experiment with the spices a little and maybe some sour cream to make the sauce creamier... Volition arrive once more....
02/02/2011
I was a picayune nervous almost the simplicity of this recipe but information technology was good. Major heartburn for both of us though
07/05/2012
with recommended changes it was pretty good
12/fourteen/2013
I used long grain rice and it was horrible, tough, pellets! Utilize minute rice. I tried to save the recipe past using a Progresso tomato soup which has more moisture than a condensed soup but the rice was still though subsequently another 30 minutes. After using another tin can of Progresso soup, and more than fourth dimension on the stovetop, it was edible but not great. Perhaps it would be better with minute rice but I won't try this once again.
03/29/2010
Did make changes just a peachy base! I made rice 4 cup h2o, 2 cups rice. Ground beefiness with onions and greenish peppers. I only used 2 cans tomato soup, ane TB Chili Powder and about a TB of a season all type salt. I mixed the ground beef and rice together to make sure I had enough soup to cover but did add cheese (Colby/Mexican) betwixt the layers. Would be really good to wrap in soft taco shells the next twenty-four hour period.
03/04/2011
This is really good
08/23/2011
This is a practiced basic recipe for nights when you want to make a tasty wholesome meal but don't want to do a lot of work. To make information technology gluten costless, I took the hints of other reviewers and subbed spaghetti sauce for the tomato soup and existent cheddar for the processed cheese. Too, the rice directions were incorrect as someone else pointed out - information technology'southward always 1 part rice to 2 parts water. Don't let the servings rating fool you - equally directed, this makes way more than 4 servings (and thus a lot less calories & fat per serving). Our family of iv ate good sized helpings and only ate half of the casserole dish, leaving leftovers for tomorrow nite. Served sweetness corn and salad sides and information technology was a striking with everyone, even picky son (the gluten-free 1)!
02/26/2013
The basics of the recipe are expert, but I feel it needs some zip and zing. I used a 2 qt 8x8 dish and it was filled completely, so I think a 1 qt dish would exist too small. I used shredded cheese instead of Velveeta. Also, you could probably do with 1 or 2 cans of soup instead of three, and possibly more than rice.
06/26/2014
Piece of cake to make and easy to make healthier also. I also made a lot. I used two lbs of local ground beef because it's what I had defrosted. Instead of white rice, I made 2 cups of organic brown jasmine rice and 1 cup of Blackness Beluga lentils. I mixed them together after cooking (there was a niggling leftover later on recipe). With the meat, I used organic roasted red pepper and tomato soup (almost a whole 32 oz box container). I added love apple paste to thicken it. I also added blackness beans for power protein etc. I upped the spice a bit, as well adding cumin, cayenne, and Celtic body of water salt. I as well replaced the processed cheese with real cheddar slices. Again, this fabricated a lot then I put it in a big, rectangular baking dish. I basically fabricated four layers, non including the cheese layers. I'm going to add together a fleck more than cheddar slices to the heart next time. This is fabulous and I know it's going to exist great for leftovers and don't accept to feel guilty eating it!
05/18/2014
What a lot of people don't realize about this recipe is casseroles themselves have to be individually tailored to ones palate. I omitted the second can of soup, subbed another can for a loving cup Pace salsa (equally a few others have), cooked the rice halfway on the stove - PROPERLY DONE (2:1 h2o/rice) - and mixed it all in my crockpot instead with a package of Enchilada sauce mix - Low for a few hours - and topped with cheese per serving, not the actual mix itself. Turned out perfectly AND was awesome in tortillas the next day!
02/03/2011
This is very like to a meatball recipe I have, but much easier. I used shredded colby/jack and added garlic, onion powder and pepper. It wasn't what I was hoping for after the beginning bite, but it definitely grew on me. The kids actually liked information technology and we'll definitely exist making it once again.
02/23/2011
easy and very proficient. added some blackness beans, and used different cheese. thinking leftovers would be good wrapped up in burritos.
04/08/2013
Loved information technology. Here are the changes that I made. Browned and onion and 2 cloves of garlic along with the beef. used one can of the soup, i can of stewed tomatoes and 1 loving cup of salsa. Change chili seasoning for Cumim. Used regular sharp cheddar cheese. Made but two layers. Served with corn chip scoops. Smashing!
11/03/2013
I was not impressed past this recipe only my family of half-dozen loved it. Second time I fabricated it I sautéed some garlic and onions before added some chorizo allow it melt a few minutes then added the ground beefiness. I likewise sub'd the velveeta for Monterey jack. This time I liked it a bit. My family loved it even more than. This is a great base to add your little twist. This one stays in my recipe box.
04/25/2013
This was good, but I used this as a starting betoken to a red beans and rice recipe and added some things to it. I wanted to add some vegetables so I sautéed mushrooms, onions, garlic and blood-red peppers and so added the beef. So I added 1 can of rinsed crimson kidney beans and some leftover corn I had in the fridge. I only used ane tin of tomato soup but I added club firm roasted garlic and crimson pepper sauce to it along with chipotle seasoning and black pepper. Topped it with and anile Canadian cheddar. My 7 year old wanted to bring the leftovers to schoolhouse for luncheon!
03/15/2010
This was OK, nothing fabulous. It was really quick and like shooting fish in a barrel to brand. It does make alot, we take 5 in our family and information technology could have fed 7-8 people.
11/14/2009
This is a great basic recipe that you can make with what yous have on hand. I cooked my rice in the rice cooker, used a pound and a half of ground beef, and ane can of love apple paste. I seasoned my footing beef while browning, with a roasted garlic and pepper mix, and so after calculation the tomato paste I added in most a tin or and so of water to go far more spreadable in the dish. Last but not least, I used a shredded tex-mex cheddar mix. These are the things I had on mitt, and it worked out great!
04/05/2010
There was simply something not right about this repast. I put 2 T of chili powder and i thought that was to much. My fellow who eats everything i brand wouldnt even cease what was on his plate.
04/01/2013
Bland, not a hit in our firm at all
07/29/2011
This recipe was bully with a few modest changes. First change the ratio of rice and water and double the corporeality of rice. 2 cups rice 4 cups water. And so I sauteed onion and garlic before calculation the ground beef. I did 1 tbsp montreal steak spice and 2 tbsp chili powder. I did only 2 layers instead of three every bit I found I didn't have plenty rice to do three layers even with doubling the rice. Overall I really liked this recipe it'south quick, tasty and uses ingredients I always have on hand!!
10/26/2014
I similar to read the reviews before trying a new recipe and that helped so much! I did not used tomato soup at all since I did non take whatever. I substituted with a tin can of stewed tomatoes, small can of tomato paste, and dumped the salsa in to taste. I also used a half of a package of frozen corn besides. I seasoned the meat with garlic and onion, as suggested in other reviews as well. I also used shredded cheese instead of the candy and aye; it tasted then proficient. Hubby doesn't like casseroles at all but he definitely enjoyed this. Saved this one in my recipe box. This recipe is great for using as a base of operations and putting your ain spin on it. Very filling!
08/17/2012
Very good but like others suggested, information technology needs some modification. I used 1 cup white rice but needed 2 cups h2o to boil it. I seasoned my meat with seasoning common salt and garlic pulverisation. Used two cans tomato sauce and one-half cup water (didn't have soup) and only 2 tablespoons chilli powder in the meat mixture. I used shredded cheddar instead of velveeta and only did 2 layers. My family unit loved this. Fifty-fifty my picky 7 yr old ate it. Will definitely make again!
12/01/2009
This recipe was just ok. My kids are picky eaters and they begrudgingly ate this. I fabricated mintue rice rather than cooking information technology on the stove superlative. I also added french fried onions to the top and it did requite the goulash a overnice crisis. Overall though, I probably won't make it again!
02/20/2011
Big hit at our business firm! I used regular cheddar chesse (I didnt have velveeta). YumYum!!
11/17/2012
It was good but I inverse it upwardly a bit. My family likes it likewise and i have some more than ideas to brand information technology.
09/06/2012
Like others, I made some modifications based on what was available in my kitchen at the time, but the hubby still raved about it! I subbed 1 tin can of diced petite tomatoes, 1 cup fresh medium salsa and 1 tin can tomato soup instead of the three cans tomato soup; I added a half onion while sauteing the ground venison, and added flavor salt and garlic powder in add-on to the chili powder. I didn't have plenty shredded cheddar, so I sliced upwards fresh mozz on the elevation until it browned. Tasty!
09/05/2014
Very good quick and easy to make! A nifty weeknight supper. I didn't layer it just mixed all the ingredients and put half in the dish, the cheese so the residue of the mixture and finished with cheese! Child approved!
08/23/2017
My family unit did not like this dish. It had too much of a tomato plant soup taste. It only did not work for united states of america.
12/18/2012
Fantastic Quick Easy Mid-calendar week Meal. My 3 twelvemonth old is an extremely fussy eater and had seconds of this dish. I remember it will be a house addition to our meal plans,
05/24/2016
My 1 year old devoured this and asked for more. Information technology had good flavor, but I felt similar there could exist more rice and less tomato soup. Otherwise, it was practiced!
01/27/2016
I made this recipe with large macroni pasta instead of rice. It works !!!!
05/19/2014
We idea it was crawly...really tasty and so easy to throw together!
07/07/2016
I enjoyed the simplicity of this recipe, simply I did make modifications. I did not take three cans of condensed tomato soup, so I used 1 can of soup, 1 tin of tomato sauce and ane can of diced tomatoes. When I fabricated the rice, I fabricated 1 1/2 times the recipe (w/ 3 c water) and added chili pulverisation, cumin and cilantro to the water. I also added those spices to the meat and tomato mixture. My son is not eating onions or garlic currently or I would take added those as well. However, I volition say that I did not miss them. I also used slices of medium cheddar and mozzarella instead of velveeta.
06/05/2019
This really wasnt something my family enjoyed at all, but it was a adept starting bespeak to tweak. I was and so surprised non to have garlic or onion in the recipe. It was merely defective in flavour
eleven/28/2016
Really good. The boyfriend actually enjoyed this :) Very simple and tasted really good.
07/23/2015
The whole family liked the recipe with some modifications. I used two pounds of basis beef and only ane tin can of soup.
08/22/2016
You definitely need a 2qt casserole dish. Anything smaller is besides modest. I used garlic and herb spaghetti sauce and 1/3 of the chili powder because I'thou not a fan of spices.
01/15/2017
Used one can tomato sauce and less cheese. Yummy quick and easy supper :-)
12/eleven/2015
I fabricated this last night for supper. It was very good but my husband mentioned that information technology needed something extra as filler. Since I had leftovers, I added a can of Heinz dark-brown beans with tomato sauce. I drained out most of the sauce and merely put the beans into the recipe. It was very good this way and fabricated it a heartier repast.
11/ten/2014
Pretty good, will probably make again...
04/xx/2013
This dish is tasty but with some changes. Velvetta cheese tastes terrible. I used cheddar cheese instead, I also added a piffling but more rice but I used Basmati rice as the season and texture is much better. Also, I left out the lycopersicon esculentum sauce completely and created my own sauce in place of it which is a mixture of butter, milk, and garlic and a piddling bit of flour. I gave this a iv simply because I liked when I made these changes. I would have hated it if I had tried the original recipe.
01/09/2017
Yum! I'm and so glad I made this! I was a bit put off by the velveeta but having 2 toddlers I had bought some equally a final resort to try and get them to consume veggies so I accept a whole bunch around to utilize up. This recipe is so versatile, instead of the three cans tomato soup I used one can of tomato soup, a small tin can of tomato plant sauce, sprinkled lawry's seasoning on the beef, added some garlic, onion and black beans, topped with some aged white cheddar. I'v served it under a fried egg, as a tortilla chip dip, burrito filling and just on its own. My picky 2 year former likes it, foodie iv year old does non. Also, I used jasmine rice for the rice. My husband too likes it. Will make again, cheers!
eleven/06/2016
This was tasty!!! I changed a few things. Added onion and garlic with the browning basis beefiness. Also added 2 cans of lycopersicon esculentum sauce and i can drained of corn. Gave it a nice crunch
01/24/2018
Ane of my go to recipes for a quick and delicious repast! I brand my rice in the rice cooker and use shredded cheese instead of Velveeta to brand extra easy. I add together the cheese on peak at the last five -vii mins of cooking time so the cheese is nice and gooey when I serve it
09/06/2016
This is a corking simple recipe especially when you take nothing planned for dinner. I added some ingredients and the family unit LOVED it. I call back this is a simple recipe that you can leave as is or add your own touch to it. I used brown rice and added kidney beans to my meat mixture. I spread the brown rice at the lesser of the baking dish and added the meat mixture on top (similar the recipe). I put cheese and served with tortillas andsour cream with a side salad.
05/02/2015
Yep. My mom used to make this. Fast, elementary, cheap for a family unit, and fills y'all upward. Plus, it'south a great comfort food!
08/30/2015
Good for kids every bit written with only 2T. chili powder and 2 cans of soup. Grands liked information technology. A little ho-hum for adults and then I changed a few things- 20 oz. ground turkey instead of beef, more rice (brown) a tin of chopped dark-green chiles added to meat plus onion and garlic, sharper grated real cheese, and a bit of salt. five stars with adjustments. Attempt left overs in burritos or tacos with normal fixings.
05/06/2015
Tasty, however, I only used one tin can of soup and a teaspoon of chili powder. Also, I added minced onion to the ground beef when it was frying, too as a variety of spices I like to use when frying ground beef. I used shredded cheeses instead of the processed cheese.

I made this recipe and I found that it called for too much tomato soup, too little footing beef, and too trivial rice. I basically have a chili flavored tomato soup with bits of ground beef and rice in it.
